Position Summary
An on-site tactical medical provider capable of training host nation indigenous forces and providing tactical medical operational support.

General Purpose
Contingent upon contract award. Provide medical support of field operations staff. All work locations would be in high threat countries. Personnel would be expected to be in the field on a 60-day rotational basis, while ensuring coverage on a daily basis throughout the contract term.

Position Responsibilities
• Will be required to certify on the Glock and M-16 weapon systems according to the Sponsor’s standards
• Must be skilled in the care and handling of live tissue patient models and knowledgeable in the anatomical differences and similarities to the human model
• Must possess full understanding of tactical military operations as performed by U.S. Military Special Operations Forces
• Must be fully trained in the theory and application of hetastarch/hexdent/volume expanding and blood clotting agents
• Must be fully trained and knowledgeable in the use of emergency medical devices for both military and civilian Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support applications
• Proficient at the following tasks: taking vital signs, eliciting the patient’s chief complaint, obtaining a basic health history, performing a basic problem focused physical examination, making a diagnosis, managing simple medical problems, and managing medical emergencies. Must be able to communicate findings with supervising Sponsor’s regional medical provider as required.
• Capable of writing and updating training schedules and basic medical equipment lists that would be reviewed and approved prior to purchase by senior mid level care providers designated by the sponsor
• Must be able to write the medical portion of a military five-paragraph field order.

Essential Skills and Experience
• Minimum of three (3) years of active duty military experience as Special Operations Medic
• Must have successfully completed at least one of the following military schools:

o U.S. Army Special Forces Qualification Course
o Basic Underwater Demolition / Seal Training
o U.S. Air Force Para-Rescue
o Air Force Combat Control Team
o Required to have successfully completed training in one of the following military occupational medical specialties:
o U.S. Army 18 Delta
o Navy or Air Force Independent Duty Medical training
o Required to currently hold civilian certifications or licenses at the level of one or more of the following:
o Paramedic
o Registered Nurse
o Nurse Practitioner
o Physician Assistant
• Must have Close Quarters Combat and Military Operations in Urban Terrain training
• Must be actively teaching Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Combat Life Saver (CLS), Basic Combat Medic Skills and live tissue patient models to military or civilian government organizations
• Must possess a minimum of a Sponsor Industrial Security Approval/SECRET (ISA/S) clearance, or equivalent, approved by the Sponsor’s clearance division. Personnel who do not already posses an ISA/S must be willing and able to be submitted for such immediately after contract award

Valued but not required Skills and Experience:
Able to support short-term liaison medical training or medical support requirements on occasion in areas of a lesser threat

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Candidates are required to be in excellent health and physical condition. These individuals must meet the Sponsor’s requirements for overseas deployment to the country in which they will work.
