Our client is an owner operator mining company with operations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. A vacancy exists for a suitably qualified safety advisor/medic at the smaller of their operations. This opportunity is available on a fly-in fly-out basis from Perth on an 8:6 roster.
This role will really allow you to utilise all of your skills, half of the job will focus on safety, implementing strategies, auditing, investigating incidents and developing the already strong safety culture. The other half of the job will be taking the position of site medic, attending to any injuries or illnesses that occur at site and taking responsibility for the pre-hospital care of any injured person.
It is essential for this role that you have experience in a safety advisor position at a surface mining operation and of course hold certificate IV or higher in Occupational Health and Safety. In addition, given the medic element of the role, it is essential that you hold the Industrial Paramedic qualification as a minimum.
