Tactical Medic

Description
Job Duties: Provide medical support or “out of hospital care” in a tactical environment. TM will work under the supervision of a physician assistant, physician or nurse practitioner. Work with team members in the performance of a wide variety of missions that may include, but are not limited to, personal security details, supporting de-mining operations, convoy operations, and support for civilian contractor operations. The Tactical Medic will perform as an integral team member and take part in all duties assigned by the team leader. After appropriate level of training, provide emergent and non-emergent medical support such as treatment of minor acute illnesses in field conditions to include but not limited to fluid resuscitation, hemorrhage control with hemostatic agents, airway support, and life support for patients with prolonged casualty evacuation times.

Other Duties: Track and maintain individual supply requirements, assist in training activities of fellow medics and team members, attend courses that have relevance to assigned duties. Operate up-armored vehicles. Provide supervision for other CHS tactical medics if placed in team leader role.
