Global Medical Advisor Diabetes - France

A fast-growing top 30 pharma company is seeking a candidate to fill a post as as a global medical director in the specialism of diabetes. The role requires provision of medical expertise to medical and marketing professionals in the area of diabetic disease. The role demands interaction with regulatory and drug safety departments in developing and coordinating global medical product defense strategies and provide expertise in the diabetes label review. The role requires strong leadership and decision making skills, excellent negotiating skills, interpersonal, organisational and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities and objectives: •Provide strategic medical input and plan for global lifecycle management of both marketed products and compounds in late phase development •To provide medical expertise through strategic planning and co-ordination of global IIIb/ IV studies and publication strategies •Review and approve phase IV studies as well as product or health information for publishing and ensure consistency with the global product positioning •To ensure processes are in place to allow for a seamless transition of product and therapeutic area know-how from Therapeutic Medicines Members and Therapeutic Area Head. A suitable candidate must have a University degree, preferably an M.D, with substantial skill in gloabl pharmaceutical drug development, drug safety, scientific and regulatory affairs in the area of diabetes. A good candidate will also have strong knowledge of international regulations/ guidelines concerning drug development,
pharmacovigilance, marketing and support of human drugs and devices. As well as this, good knowledge of external medical and pharmaceutical industry issues impacting the registration, marketing and support of pharmaceutical products in general diabetes is desirable.
