Specialist Operational Support Ltd (SOS) have a requirement for an instructor to deliver EMS training internationally.
The trainer will be required to deliver pre written packages including US DoT EMT and Wilderness EMT packages.
Additional opportunities, experience and qualifications dependent, may include the delivery of FPOS-I, EMT-P, trauma courses (PHTLS, ATT, ITLS), ACLS, PALS, etc, along with working as a clinical mentor during attachments.
This role at present will be on a (regular) ad hoc basis with a view to full time employment in the future.
The daily rate will be competetive and negotiated based on qualifications and experience.
The ideal candidate will fulfil the following criteria due to the nature of the course syllabi and the likely audiences:
• EMT-I or EMT-Paramedic/Paramedic (AREMT, NREMT, HPC; HPCSA)
• Ex Military or close protection trained with operational experience in Iraq, Afghanistan or Libya (or similar)
• Relevent pre hospital experience
• Adult education tutor/instructor qualification
• Experience delivering EMT/Ambulance Technician level training
• Experience delivering Wilderness medical topics
• Expedition and/or Mountain Rescue experience
• Well travelled and willing to travel well!!
• PHTLS, ACLS,ALS, PALS, ATT instructor certifications are desireable
• Languages: Spanish, Arabic or French are desireable
