JOB SUMMARY
The Pafford Clinical Air Division is based in Ruston, Louisiana and Clarksdale, Mississippi. PaffordAIR ONE operates two Bell 206L4, AIR WING, our Fixed Wing Cessna 414, and two Critical Care/SCT Ground units that are capable of servicing North Louisiana, South and East Arkansas, and the Mississippi Delta with the very best in Critical Care Medicine. Air Methods and Pafford AIR ONE work together as the premier Air Medical Provider in the Region.
The Clinical Air Division is part of the Family Tradition of the Pafford EMS Corporation. Currently, Pafford EMS operates over 55 ambulances in 4 states.
We are now accepting resumes for Flight Nurse and Flight Paramedic positions in both Ruston, Louisiana and Clarksdale, Mississippi.
Also, we are accepting resumes for 2 Flight Coordinator positions in our Flight Communications Center in Ruston, Louisiana as well as Marketing Representatives with previous Air Medical Membership Sales Experience.
Under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Air Program Director, this position is responsible for providing safe, comprehensive care to critically ill and/or injured patients of all ages. Flight Crew Members are responsible for knowing the latest Trauma and Medical Protocols and perform the most aggressive medical procedures in the Air Medical community. Participates in activities to support PR/ marketing efforts and Education/Training. Completes all annual competency requirements and maintains all State licenses and certifications.
SCHEDULE/LOCATION
·24 to 48 hour shifts.
·Ruston, Louisiana or Clarksdale, Mississippi base
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates or Bachelors preferred.
- Must have active Nursing license or Paramedic Certification, current and eligible to work in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
- Minimum 5 years ICU/CCU/ER or 911 EMS experience.
- CCEMT-P or CCP-C for Flight Paramedic, preferred.
- CEN or CCRN for Flight Nurse, preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC, ITLS or PHTLS.
- Must pass CFRN or FP-C within 9 months of hire.
- Must maintain a flight ready weight limit of 225 lbs.
Hiring Process includes Phone Interview, Background Check, Drug Screen, Physical Fitness Exam, Written Exams, Oral Exam, and extensive Practical Skills Evaluation. Interviews begin March 7th, 2012.
