Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Medic for an immediate start for a project in the North West. Reporting to the Project H&S Manager this position is responsible for monitoring the implementation of project plans, procedures and work instructions in respect to health, safety and fitness for work.

The Medic shall:
Be competent to operate an emergency response vehicle (Ambulance) and have prerequisite HR drivers license
Manage a field First Aid room offering advanced care in consultation with RFDS
Have experience in facilitation of Drug & Alcohol testing
Conduct periodic site health inspections
Complete inspections of first aid equipment and supplies
Provide first aid treatment and selective medical treatment
Report, record, investigate and close out health incident and near miss reports as applicable
Identify and report to the H&S Advisor health issues, which require attention
Actively promote Health and Hygiene topic
Support the location H&S Advisor as required
Support field crews by attending ROW daily
Ensure a list of qualified first aiders is established, update and display on notice boards and in Emergency Response Plan Vehicle Booklets
Attend daily Field Progress Management Meetings and report on First Aid & Medical Treatments

The position is starting ASAP and working through to end of 2012 (approximately).

We are currently seeking a candidate who has an interest in the role who also has the ability to complete the tasks working in a remote area. Experience in a similar role is essential.
