Position: Advanced Care Paramedic ( Offshore_Drilling Platform)
The Position:
The ideal candidate is an excellent technician, who works well independently and as part of a team. The individual must have the skills to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and business clients. Understanding and experience in corporate and occupational health is a plus. Remote medical experience, including working in climate extremes, is advantageous. Healthcare staff will be providing primary care and emergency support to the local employee population, and will be supported a medical director. Work will be performed on a rotational basis, with full room and board while on-site
The Person:
Current registration as an Advance Care Paramedic (ACP) with the Paramedic Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (PANL) required
3-5 years experience, with at least 2 years clinical experience in intensive care or emergency practice
Previous offshore drilling platform experience
Previous experience with medical evacuation of personnel by helicopter, fixed-wing aircraft or other support craft
Holder of an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate, as well as Basic Trauma Life Support or Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support Certification as recognized by the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
Computer proficiency
