Job Description:

To provide sound medical response and direction in the Oil and Gas Offshore Environment.

Duties:
Maintain all hospital supplies as per Vessel Flag Register, WHO and Helix Medical Protocols. This will include generating and distributing documents required to maintain the hospital accordingly.
Provide medical assistance to patients according to standing orders set for within Helix Medical Protocols. Providing clear communications with On-shore Medical Physicians, Helix Management, Vessel Management, including: patient care notes, emails, and other written reports as needed.
Provide assistance to the EHS Advisors and Vessel Management on emergency medical procedures, equipment, 1st response and inventory of necessary supplies throughout the vessel, including eye wash stations, emergency response stations and first aid/responder kits and stations.
Provide Assistance in coaching the vessel crew on proper health issues. I.e. Heat Related issues, Hygiene issues, Hydration and appropriate wellness issues or as directed.
Maintain registration/licensure to the level of Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic as required to practice profession.

Job Requirements:
Education: EMT-Paramedic
3 years as Paramedic and 6 Months Offshore experience Preferred
Good verbal/written communication, fluent in both written and verbal English, Microfost Office Proficient. Strong organizational skills as well as having the ability to work effectively on own initiative; Familiar with the offshore oil and gas industry and marine terminology; Be physically fit to work offshore and in International Environments.
