International Oil & Gas Operator currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join their Medical & Health Service team for Field-based work within Papua New Guinea.
- Field based work in various locations in Papua New Guinea
- Work is “on-call” basis
- 12 month contract with the view to extend
Duties:
Act as an advocate for all people suffering from an illness and/or injury
Maintain all health information in a strictly confidential manner according to company standards and legislation
Provide urgent and non-urgent health advise and medical treatment to company nominated patients and the community
Monitor health risks in PNG and provide information to Line Management
Engage in and drive the intention of specific company endorsed health programs
Minimum requirements:
PNG Nursing Registration or ability to obtain (Candidates who already posses will be given preference)
Candidates must gain Professional Indemnity Insurance suitable for PNG prior to commencement
5+ years as a registered medical practitioner
Experience managing acutely ill / injured patients
Experience in rural / remote locations
