Our client is an international crisis response organization that provides medical evacuation and medical advisory services to private and public sector enterprises as well as insurance companies globally. With offices located across 6 continents our client can analyze regional crises and other potential events that could impact their clients and Thailand is currently being set up as a South East Asia regional operational center and are looking for experienced Medical Doctors to take upon the following role and responsibilities:
The Medical Doctor will report to the expatriate Regional Director and be part of our client regional emergency response teams that assist clients regionally for medical treatment consulting and evacuation needs. The role will be a supervisory role in which the sought after candidate manages a medical response team of Nurses and Medical Technicians to be on constant stand by to assist our client’s customers throughout South East Asia.
Maintain emergency medical teams and develops their technical
Manage and coordinate logistics for patient transfers from remote locations to hospitals/
Domestic and international travel via commercial and private aircraft to oversee and coordinate patient relocation, stabilization and monitoring
Follow, maintain and improve protocol, process and quality standards for patient response and transport
Monitoring and providing emergency care to patients in remote locations and in various hospitals throughout South East Asia.
Admitting patients requiring special care followed by investigations and treatment; examining and talking to patients to diagnose their medical conditions.
Working with other doctors as part of a team, either in the same department or within other specialties throughout the world.
Undertaking managerial responsibilities such as planning the workload and staffing of the department, especially at more senior levels;
Teaching junior doctors and medical students, as well as auditing and research.
Qualifications
Qualified to Medical Doctor preferably with an overseas education or at top medical university in Thailand.
5+ years working experience in emergency medicine and general practice at an internationally recognized medical hospital.
Very Strong command of spoken and written English
Flexible to travel to regional destinations when required sometime with very short notice/.
Native fluency in Thai.
