Silver Lake is an ASX 200 gold producing and exploration company with a resource base of 3.3 million oz in highly prospective regions including the Mount Monger goldfield and the Murchison. 

• Paramedic, Emergency Response and Safety
• Gold Operation FIFO 8:6 one hour from Perth
• Underground Mining

As the OHS Co-ordinator at our Murchison Project you will wear all three Paramedic, Emergency Response and Safety Hats. Working back to back with an OHS Advisor you will also work closely with our major contractors and their safety teams to instil a sensible focus on safety at site.


Silver Lake Resources is not about red tape and fiddling figures, we want to ensure the safety of everyone on site but not drown them in a sea of paperwork. So this role requires that special someone who knows their stuff – the rules and regs, department reporting, running an ER Team, and delivering medical treatment from first aid through to lifesaving treatment (if needed – lets hope not) but doesn’t expect it all to be governed and defined by a procedure, policy, SWP and a Take 5.

As a growing company there is development work to do, so liaison with your counterparts at our Kalgoorlie operations will also be important. Whilst some work has been done on the Safety Management System and other policies etc. for site, there is still ample room to have an influence and stamp your mark.

To be considered for this brilliant opportunity you must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Relevant OHS Qualifications
• Paramedic Qualifications
• 5yrs+ experience as an OHS professional (preferably within mining)
• Experience with Emergency Response (preferably in an underground environment)
• Experience in developing and writing Safety Policies, Management Systems etc

This is a small team so work ethic, passion and a strength for building strong relationship’s will also come in handy.

This role is on an 8:6 roster FIFO from Perth, only an hours flight away, with travel in company time. Accommodation is in the town of Cue and is a brand new camp, with ensuited rooms, gym, rec room and the pub and shop just a short walk down the street.
