The Position
International SOS has been providing medical services to one of Canada’s leading oil and natural gas companies during their development of the oil sands region. Work is taking place in isolated camps northwest of Fort McMurray in Northern Alberta. We are seeking Paramedics to work on an upcoming Winter Drilling project located in the oil sands region. Short term Casual positions are available starting in January
The ideal candidate is an excellent technician, who works well independently and as part of a team. The individual must have the skills to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and business clients. Understanding and experience in corporate and occupational health is a plus. Remote medical experience, including working in climate extremes, is advantageous.
The Person
· Current registration as an EMT-P with the Alberta College of Paramedics
· Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
· Computer proficiency
· Proactive and solution focused
· Remote and industrial experience, including working in climate extremes, is advantageous
