Attends the injured / sick cases primarily at the shopfloor to help with first aid
Responds to calls for medical assistance at accidents, emergencies and other related incidents.
Evaluates the condition of personnel seriously injured or taken ill; provides them with life support and assists for their immediate transfer to hospitals for proper treatment.
Establishes medical contacts with concerned hospitals / doctors as need arises (to ensure provision of proper treatment to sick employees and their eligible dependents)
Applies splints to limbs, dresses wounds, administers pain relief, oxygen, drips and fluids as and when required.
Treats minor injuries
Uses various kinds of basic medical equipment such as for checking blood pressure, blood sugar etc. and for resusciating and stabilising patients.
Administers certain minor medical procedures when necessary, such as intubation (insertion of a breathing tube, intravenous fluids and drugs under direction from a doctor).
Liases with members of other emergency services, and members of family if required.
Takes care of patients under transfer on ambulance to hospitals in hours of emergency
Writes up case notes and reporting the patient’s history, condition and treatment, and provides timely reports to the concerned.
Maintains contacts with network hospitals for obtaing updated reports on ailing employees’ health status
Provides to personnel healthcare related counselling and advice
Checks medical related vouchers and processes for payment
