Job Description 
This position is responsible for providing primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses to maintain employees on the job and to promptly return them to work, dispensing over the counter and prescription medications as ordered, performing required health assessments for specified programs.

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:

1.Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
2.Perform required health assessments for specified programs.
3.Conduct required screening tests such as drug and alcohol testing, eye exams, spirometry testing, or audiometric testing and to draw bodily fluids for laboratory testing.
4.Maintain OSHA, State and team member health records.
5.Coordinates annual medical examination process with sub-contracted vendor.
6.Evaluate specific job classes to monitor exposure to physical and/or chemical stressors.
7.Oversee on-site first aid and medical support services.
8.Assist with team member health promotion, education and training programs.
9.Manage Return to work program and assist in managing workers compensation cases.
10.Assist with maintenance and documentation of workers' compensation files.
11.Participate in plant safety and ergonomic programs
12.Manage and ensure all necessary personnel are current in Reparatory Protection Program and Hearing Conservation program.
13.Perform other duties as assigned.

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Various medical diagnostic equipment and office equipment.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is generally conducted in an office environment. However, duties may occasionally involve working outside with a potential exposure to extreme temperatures. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Work may require heavy lifting up, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certifications:
One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Minimum academic preparation includes completion of A.D.N or B.S.N from an accredited school of nursing program and current
license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of employment.

Experience:
1 plus years experience in the performance of nursing skills relative to Occupational Health Nursing preferred. Current CPR/First Aid instructor certification preferred. Communication, problem-solving and organizational skills desired. Standard computer skills including generating simple letters, spreadsheets or creating simple queries.

Difficulty Of Duties:
Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete tasks such as setting priorities, evaluating results and coordinating with others.

Skills:
Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
