The Role
Provide Paramedical Pre-Hospital Care to employees, and minimise risk in the workplace by actively promoting and monitoring safety in the capacity as Health & Safety Advisor.
You will be expected to contribute and participate in the development and training of the sites ERT.
You will have experience and knowledge in the development of effective incident, emergency response and other emergency preparedness procedures.
You will be committed to the maintaining of health, safety and security standards and principles, both within the workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout the organization.
You will need to demonstrate expert knowledge and skills in order to generate and promote a positive health and safety culture.
To Be Successful
The Paramedic / HSE Advisor will have the following qualifications and experience:
· A minimum of three years qualified experience in a stage or territory ambulance service
· Experience of Workplace Health and Safety
· A minimum of QLD Ambulance Service Advanced Care Paramedic Level 2 or equivalent
· A minimum of Diploma in Paramedical Science or equivalent
· Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE 40110)
· Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety
· Certificate in Pathology Collection (Drug & Alcohol) or equivalent
· Current Certificate of Clinical Paramedic Practice
· Hold a current Australian manual drivers licence
Mount Carlton Project
Mt Carlton is located approximately 140 kilometers from Townsville and only 80 kilometers from the coastal town of Bowen. In operations Mt Carlton will employ 200 people including contractors. Construction is due to commence in 2012. Camp accommodation is provided for all personnel on site with transport provided to/from Townsville or Bowen.
