About the Role
We are currently looking for expressions of
interest for HSE / Medics with the required
experience and qualifications to provide additional
manpower, leave coverage and the potential for
an opportunity of ongoing work.
You will be working on a large construction barge
that is currently deployed in the construction of
In Harbour infrastructure. The Barge
equipment includes a large derrick crane and a
mobile deck crane with the work focussing on
heavy lift of prefabricated structural components.
Working on an equal time roster of 5 weeks, we
are seeking an experienced HSE / Medic who has
a Diploma in OH&S & Cert IV in TAE
accompanying a diploma level (minimum) in
paramedical science.
Working closely with senior ship officers, deck
managers and crew you will be responsible for
safety procedures and how they are implemented
on the Vessel. There is a large emphasis on the
safety of heavy lift work. You will also act in
the capacity of Barge medic.
Reviewing, auditing and improving current
safety procedures
Liaising, advising and directing all crew in
safety procedures
Overseeing and implementing environmental
procedures on the vessel
Job specific safety analysis and procedures for
crew
Conducting pre start and post job safety
meetings
Conducting inductions and maintaining the
induction register
Educating and informing crew on safety
Gathering extensive information from senior
personnel in all job details so you have the
information required to make safety decisions
Document control in registers, controlled
documents, procedural and safety
Treating injuries
Qualifications
To be considered for the role you will need the
following minimum certificates and qualifications
that are current and up to date.
•Diploma in OH&S or higher
•Cert IV TAE
•Medic or Paramedic qualification â€" Diploma
•Level or higher
•BOSIET or HUET
•MSIC Card
The successful candidate will have at least 2
years experience as a HSE / Medic in the
offshore construction industry.
Please note: This is a 5-week equal time roster
with no flexibility for alternative rosters. You will
also be committed to ongoing work for the
duration of the project, which is 18 months.
Remuneration
You will be paid between $900.00 to $1000.00 +
Super per day for days worked.
