Job Summary 
Murray & Roberts Projects invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Nightshift Paramedic reporting to HSE Coordinator. The project entails the building of 6 x 780 MW Coal Fired Super Critical Boiler for the coal fired Kusile Power Station to be erected at the Kusile Site at Witbank, Mpumalanga , South Africa. Preference will be given to suitably qualified EE candidates

Key Responsibilities 
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Maintain Emergency Response requirements.
Provide an efficient an effective treatment of all work and non work related medical incidents of project personnel.

Evaluate all potential incidents and provide management with preventative actions.
Attend Emergency Coordinator meetings as required.
Assess all emergency risks.
Drafting of fall emergency plans and amend them as required.
Assess all Risk Assessments and ensuring that all emergency risks have been dealt with adequately.
Advising and informing the Emergency & Security Coordinator & HSSE Manager of the latest medical care and emergency response equipment and techniques.
Writing reports and compiling accurate information on emergency and IOD’s/ medical cases.
Performing complete audits on first aid equipment & first aiders on site and compiling of behaviour graphs.
Conduct investigation of IOD’s/ medical and emergency related incidents.
Complete IOD’s/ medical and emergency related reports.
Attend all IOD’s/ medical and emergency related meetings as required.
Management of Health, Safety and Environmental matters pertaining to the Kusile Project.
Participate in site audits and subcontractor audits as required.
Reporting to the Emergency and Security Coordinator on a daily basis.
Attending HSSE Meetings and compile reports as required.
Advise management of all relevant activities.

Key Requirements Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
A Minimum of 5 years experience within the emergency/ paramedic field.
A Minimum of 2 years experience within the construction field.
Experience and ability in Training of employees.
Experience in the managing of emergency and/or medical/ IOD situations.
Management of personal and emergency response teams.
Compiling reports and maintaining of HSSE documentation.
Experience in incident investigations.
Relevant HSE experience will be an advantage.

Hazard Identification and risk assessment (Must)
Fire Fighting and Rescue qualification (Advantages)
Computer skills - advanced skills in excel, power point and report writing (Must)
