Job Description 
Under general supervision, responsible for providing routine medical services, first aid, and emergency services. Serves as the initial on-site medic for routine medical issues for contractors and subcontractors; performs vital checks and diagnoses patients with minor symptoms and prescribes medication as necessary. Responsible for administering on-site inoculations for required vaccinations, and drug and alcohol testing. Works closely with on-site HSE management to assess work injuries
and accidents, provides documentation to assist company with workers compensation claims. Maintains medical records for on-site contractors and subcontractors. Required to operate an emergency response vehicle and perform maintenance and inventory management on emergency equipment and supplies.

May supervise a team of subcontractor and/or labor broker personnel, in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.

Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions, including lifting and carrying 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure safety, health, and security measures within the contract are met, all employees shall be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).

Living conditions on the project are most likely austere. The most austere sleeping may be in environmentally conditioned tents on “Army type” cots. Restrooms and showers may be 250 feet or further from sleeping quarters. Laundry service for 15 pounds twice per week is commonly provided. Meals are provided at regular intervals in cafeteria or “dining facility” style environment. Living area will most likely have constant hum of generators or similar equipment nearby.
 Basic Job Requirements 
Associate’s Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, and 5 years directly related experience is required. Certification as Emergency Medical Technician or equivalent required.
Other Job Requirements Requires strong discretion and independence. Demonstrates proficiency in the use of PC-based business applications. Physically, the worker must be capable of exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Preferred Qualifications 
Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred.
