Progressive Global Energy is looking for an Occupational Health Advisor in Saudi Arabia
Provide technical support and sustain continual improvement to all PRC
facilities as to protect employee's health and environment to comply
with applicable regulations and recognized international management
standards.
Responsibilities:
Conduct employee health assessment and evaluation including the undertaking of fitness to work in safety critical posts.
Surveys and monitors adherence to Company standards for prevention of
occupational illness, transmissible and other diseases and for
employment in health-critical jobs.
Assists in coordination and referrals, detection, management and
prevention of transmissible and other diseases to and with company
designated facilities.
Facilitates and implement health promotion protocols and programs to maintain employee health for them to be productive.
Recommends workplace design, work practices to improve efficiency,
productivity to decrease costs, occupational illness and absenteeism.
Prepares and maintains occupational health data, results and reports.
Performs other miscellaneous duties and/or special projects as assigned by Section Head or OH Specialist
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor degree of Medicine & Surgery (MBBS) or Doctor Of Medicine
(MD) with a certified specialization in Occupational Health
Minimum 5-8 years of professional hands-on experience in operational
Refineries or Petrochemical plants as an Occupational Health Advisor
Proven and demonstrated ability to implement, assist, perform and
facilitate company occupational health programs; review, evaluate and
analyze work environments and design programs and procedures to control,
eliminate and prevent disease or injury caused by chemicals, physical
and biological agents or ergonomic factors; carry out occupational
health screening tests and evaluations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are crucial
Excellent computer skills and experience in operating a wide variety of
operating devices and equipment related to health surveillance and
monitoring
Flexibility to work in a multicultural environment and strong interpersonal skills to communicate with persons at all levels
Structured and organized working style
Sound knowledge and skills in:
- Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health
- Occupational Health programs, policies, rules, procedures, standards and guidelines
- Occupational Health Assessment Investigations & Monitoring Methodologies
