Job description
General Management Manages health service delivery and the health team under their direct responsibility, developing the level of service and consistency model for delivery of services with the Region health director Constantly reviews and sets the health resource with the Region health director Regularly appraises staff performance, supporting them in setting performance contracts
Assists the Region health director in the determination and assessment of capability aligned to S&OR (Safety & Operational Risk) OneHealth’s standard. Assists in the development of health capability at business level both in terms of advice to the business on capacity and competencies required and mentoring and coaching local health professionals when in place. Assists the Region health director in communication with businesses and functions, deciding what service delivery is required. Health Management Champions the health agenda Supports the health team under their direct responsibility, inputting into (dependent on discipline and skills): - The risk assessment process to ensure risk-based health programmes are developed, documented, published, communicated, implemented and maintained in accordance with both regulatory and company requirements. - The development of OH policies, processes, education and good practices - Technical input for Region’s emergency response and crisis management plans including participation in exercises when required. - The development of health programmes such as functional (fitness) health assessments, sickness absence and rehabilitation programmes - Health surveillance needs identification, analysis of hygiene and health assessment results and preventative programmes to reduce risk and monitor control mechanisms  Understands local legislation related to occupational health  Provides management information on grouped employee health data and utilisation and evaluation of health services, utilising the S&OR health data system  Assists the Region health director i
Essential Education
- Registered nurse with at least 10 years post graduation experience or - Medical doctor with at least 10 years post graduation experience

Essential experience and job requirements

At least 2 years experience in a management role Knowledge of occupational health management standards and legislation Provides a confidential service Appreciation of the ethical framework governing occupational health practice and protection of personal data Ability to recognise and work within their own limitations – seeking help from colleagues where appropriate Leadership/management of people Good communicator on all levels Planning, goal setting Tenacity
