In
this position you will be required to perform a full range of nursing
concepts and practices on site, using furnished facilities, equipment
and supplies to a variety of patients in an austere environment.
Job Duties:
Closely observe patients
Note specific procedures and prescribed medication for each case
Assist doctors in providing physical assessments and administering treatments
Monitor vital signs and ensuring the proper functions of feeding tubes, ventilators, catheters and other life support equipment
Attend
to the patient’s overall needs, such as feeding, bathing and grooming,
dressing replacement, medication intake, and comfort
Work efficiently with other practical nurses and nursing assistants in the ICU ward
Provide clear directions and guidance for procedures and routines
Provide
support and education to the patient’s family, answering questions and
giving vital instructions on how to care for the patient
Other duties assigned
Requirements:
Current and unrestricted state license
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
Minimum (3) years of ICU Nurse experience
