Job Description
Provides medical services, first aid, and emergency services. Overseas, occupational health & safety,
and clinical medicine. Serves as the initial on-site medic for routine medical issues for contractors and
subcontractors; performs vital checks and diagnoses patients with minor symptoms and prescribes
medication as necessary. Responsible for administering on-site inoculations for required vaccinations,
and drug and alcohol testing. Works closely with on-site HSE management to assess work injuries and
accidents, provides documentation to assist company with workers compensation claims. Determines
fitness for duty of contractors and subcontractors with senior HSE management. Maintains medical
records for on-site contractors and subcontractors. Required to operate an emergency response vehicle
and perform maintenance and inventory management on emergency equipment and supplies.

Position may be located in a war zone in a contingency environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions, including lifting and carrying 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time. To ensure safety, health, and security measures within the contract are met, all employees shall be literate in English (read, write, speak and understand).
Living conditions on the project are most likely austere. The most austere sleeping may be in environmentally conditioned tents on “Army type” cots. Restrooms and showers may be 250 feet or further from sleeping quarters. Laundry service for 15 pounds twice per week is commonly provided. Meals are provided at regular intervals in cafeteria or “dining facility” style environment. Living area will most likely have constant hum of generators or similar equipment nearby.

Basic Job Requirements
Requires the job knowledge, skill level and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
State Paramedic License or National Registry required.
High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and
three (3) years related experience.
