Job Summary
To supervise the clinical activities and to guarantee the quality of nursing care in the emergency department. He is responsible for the HR and general management of the department.

Duties and Responsibilities
1) Supervises all the clinical activities in the department.
2) Ensures that the staff on duty knows, implements and follows at all times the universal hygiene standards/ precautions, bio-hazard prevention and infection control in the medical premises, ensuring high standards of hygiene in the working Environment
3) Responsible for the department-related pharmacy activities (stock and consumption monitoring) as well as maintenance of the medical equipment
4) Responsible to ensure that all the administrative procedures and documents are filled in correctly and for compiling monthly reports reflecting the activity in the department
5) Supervises the Nursing Team in Emergency department

Skills
- Knowledge of data management: Able to provide routine data analysis
- Personal and materials hygiene: Capacity to ensure adequate use of Personal Protective Equipment
- Infection prevention and control: Be able to perform a basic sterilization process
- Patient handling: Capacity to compensate patient disability (moving, feeding, toileting)

Qualifications
• Essential: Nursing Diploma recognised by the Afghan Ministry of Health
• Management Training Certificate
• At least 2 years’ experience working as a nurse in a hospital.
• At least 1 year working experience with MSF as Nurse.
• Intermediate level of English, good Dari oral and written, Pashto is an asset
• Very organized person able to plan his/her work in advance, autonomous and rigorous
• Motivation to work in an international/inter-cultural humanitarian context
