HR - This position is a complex position covering St Regis, W & Westin Dubai
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Receive all sick/injured team members and guests in the hotel clinic and treat them medically when possible & escort staff members to hospital treatment as and when necessary
• Assist all staff in medical and health related issues & Provide accurate advice and help for all staff in health and sickness situations
• Provide accurate statistics and reports to the Human Resources Team on all health related matters on weekly basis
• Assist hotel visiting doctor in the specified visiting hours.
• Ensure that a sufficient list of First Aiders is present in each department at any given time
• Monitor/follow up health certificates for the F&B handlers and for other team members for new/renewal of residence visas
• Maintain and keep updated record for the hotel clinic medicines whenever required
• Maintain the employee’s medical files and update them with the necessity of reporting any chronic cases to the knowledge of the management and the hotel doctor
• Manage sick leave policy in accordance to the Starwood policies. Responsible for assessing all sickness and reports for communication to the Human Resources Team and the relevant leaders
• Responsible for the reimbursements of all hospital and medical visits of staff members
• Ensures that insurance application forms of new team members are submitted within 2 days from the date of joining
• Facilitate timely submission of medical expense/re-Imbursements with the insurance company and follow up the same
• Ensure that all staff members get and receive their health card as soon as possible after the start of their employment
• Ensure that all health related legislation is continuously and accurately adhered to in the hotel
• Together with the Director of Risk Assessment, lead and maintain the health and safety policy and training, manual handling training included
• Conduct monthly awareness workshop on preventative health care topics
• Any other duties as assigned by your leader.
Supportive Functions:
• Provides assistance to the government relations manager in terms of National ID card application for team members’ documentation, scheduling/setting of appointments etc.
• Co-organize staff events, social activities and recognition for staff members
• Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office & in any Human Resources projects
• Take ownership for professional administration and communication to the hotel
• Conduct Monthly inspections of staff accommodation to ensure cleanliness.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Nurse experience in the hotel /leisure / retail sector Academic nursing qualification Approved license/certification someone who will create an HR environment of trust and confidentiality The passion and enthusiasm to be part of a winning team.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years previous experience in the same position with a 5 stars hotel or renowned medical institution.
Grooming:
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Starwood standards.
