The Role:
We are actively seeking quality driven instructors that take a comprehensive approach to leading remote medical courses. Ideal candidates will have a combination of clinical knowledge and extensive knowledge of the outdoors. These courses are designed to give students a solid foundation of providing basic life support in a remote wilderness setting. The instructors will need to have varying outdoors experience which will allow them to speak as an authority of operating in the wilderness setting.
Location Requirements:
Candidates must have residency in at least one of the following regions:
Region 1: Seattle, WA (within 175 miles)
Region 2: Colorado Springs, CO (within 175 miles)
Region 3: New York State (within state)
Region 4: California (within state)
Instructor Selection Course:
The finalist of the interviewing process will be required to attend a 3-Day instructor selection course. This is a course where finalist will teach mock courses to current instructors as a way to demonstrate their teaching abilities and overall awesomeness. At the end of this course, candidates will be advised on their status in the application process. A shuttle will be provided from the RMI corporate headquarters in Seattle to the instructor selection course site.

Minimum Requirements
National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)
Documented experience providing patient care in remote or wilderness environments
Documented experience in adult education (experience teaching pre-hospital medicine preferred)
Available for a minimum of 40 teaching days (part-time) or 110 teaching days (full-time) annually
Able to attend a 3-day Instructor Selection Course
Preferred Requirements
Current certification as Wilderness EMT
