The Health Coordinator (HC) will support the Deputy Head of Mission for Program Implementation in providing leadership, strategic vision and technical support to all aspects of the health program in Lebanon. The HC will contribute to the identification of programmatic priorities, design and direction for health programming in Akkar, Mount Lebanon, Saida, as well as any other areas where accurate needs are identified. In addition, the HC will ensure that the health program is implemented in accordance with international protocols, guidelines and best practices and national programs and regulation. He or she will promote the quality of care provided through the PUI health services.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Strategy: working alongside the Deputy Head of Mission for Program Implementation and cooperating closely with the Headquarters’ Medical Referent, he/she contributes to the development of new health-related initiatives for the mission and is in charge of technically defining the Health component in the whole integrated programming strategy at mission level.
Program: he/she ensures that health projects are in line with PUI’s health policy and country program strategy and monitors them for quality and efficiency.
Representation: he/she represents the organisation to partners, authorities and local stakeholders involved in implementing health-related programmes.
Human Resources / Training: he/she provides technical support to the health teams (PUI employees), provides support to project managers for recruiting technical staff and supervises technical training activities on the basis of identified needs.
Logistics and Administration: he/she ensures that the activities which he/she is responsible for comply with logistics and administrative procedures.
Safety: he/she must comply with safety rules within the mission and communicates any safety-related information to the Security Coordinator.

Medical Doctor Diploma
PROFESSIONAL
EXPERIENCE
Previous experience working for an NGO
Previous experience working as a technical advisor
Previous experience working as a medical doctor
NOWLEDGE
AND SKILLS
Good written and oral communication skills, effective in representation and liaison with external parties
Strong knowledge on project management
LANGUAGES
English is mandatory
Arabic is desirable
PROPOSED TERMS
COMPENSATION
Employed with a Fixed-Term Contract
Monthly gross income: from 1 980€ up to 2 310€ depending on the experience in international solidarity + 50€ per semester with PUI
