SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an Operating Room Nurse. The Operating Room Nurse will facilitate providing professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgery.

Essential Job Duties:
• Provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgery
• Promotes and restores patients’ health by completing the nursing process
• Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staffs
• Supervises assigned team members
• Reinforcing patient understanding of disease, medications, and self-care skills
• Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards
• Measures health outcomes against patient care goals and standards
• Follows hospital and nursing division’s philosophies and standards of care set by State board of nursing, State Nurse Practice Act, and other governing agency regulations
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records
• Ensures operation of medical and administrative equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements
• Troubleshoots malfunctions
• Calls for repairs
• Maintains equipment inventories
• Evaluates new equipment and techniques and maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelors' degree in Nursing
• Current unrestricted U.S. state license as a Registered Nurse
• Membership in the Nursing Specialty professional association is desirable
• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse is required
• Maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• All health care providers and medical support staff must have recent clinical experience in patient care for at least six months out of the past year.
