A formally qualified and registered General Medicine Physician with a FRACP (or similar qualification)

Available for deployment in September for at least 12 months

ACTIVITIES
Hospital Nacional Guido Valadares (HNGV) is working with key partners in Timor-Leste including the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), Ministry of Health and the National University to deliver post graduate (PG) training in Surgery, Anaesthesia, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Ophthalmology and Family Medicine.

An experienced and passionate General Medicine Physician is required to join the Department of Internal Medicine at HNGV. Your role has one primary aim: to establish, deliver and lead a PG Diploma in General Medicine alongside national and international Consultants.

In addition, you will mentor and teach junior doctors enrolled in the Family Medicine Program (a two year rotational program equipping junior doctors with skills and competencies to work in community health centres in the districts).

Clinical work forms part of the job, but is always directed towards mentoring and training the senior and junior medical staff and trainees.

LOCATION

You will work at the HNGV, the national teaching hospital in Dili.
