The Role:
The flight doctor would provide lifesaving emergent care in a variety of locations throughout West Africa. A successful candidate would be willing to provide expert care as part of a multi-disciplinary team in rotor-wing and clinic settings. Candidates should have a willingness to operate independently in remote or austere environments with limited external support services and have the ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances. This role would be a great fit for candidates seeking adventurous rotations throughout the world.
On-going opening:
This is an on-going opening. While open, it may be used to fill multiple assignments throughout the world as they become available. Only candidates whose candidacy is actively being pursued will be contacted when an opening becomes available.
Rotations:
Typically, 8 weeks on 8 weeks off
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements:
Fluent command of the English and French languages
Active and unrestricted license as a doctor
6+ years of overall experience as a doctor
Post qualification or certification in anesthesia , emergency care, or flight medicine
Ability to obtain and maintain a Fit for Duty. Assignments may be subject to weight restrictions.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or similar certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Flight medicine certification
