Location: Australia ( Jundee mine )
The Jundee mine is located in the Northern Goldfields region of Western Australia around 45 kilometres northeast of Wiluna and approximately 520 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie. Ore is currently sourced only from the underground mining operations.
Job tasks and responsibilities
This is a FIFO position ex Perth on an 8:6 roster pattern.
The duties and responsibilities for this role include:
Provide critical and non-critical medical care to site based personnel
Assist in managing the sites emergency preparedness
Manage site emergency medical facilities and assets
Provide relevant medical training and mentoring to members of the Emergency Response Team.
Assist with developing and maintaining site audit functions
Conduct regular biological monitoring to comply with legislative requirements
Coordinate site injury management and return to work function
Skills and experience
Bachelor of Paramedical Science OR accepted equivalent (such as Diploma of Paramedical Science from a State Ambulance service with appropriate "on road" pre hospital and remote experience)
Current qualifications in Advanced Life Support (ALS)
3 years demonstrated experience working in emergency treatment preferably in remote/mining environment
Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
Qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or Hygiene (desired)
Certificate IV Workplace Training & Assessing (desired)
Familiarisation with RFDS protocols and Medivac procedures
Demonstrated knowledge of Injury Management processes.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to positively influence others.
