Tasks and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the medical coordinator, you will be in charge of the management of pharmacy & medical stock, the technical support & capacity building, and the communication & reporting.
You will manage directly 1 pharmacist assistant, and support technically 1 pharmacist in Dohuk and 1 pharmacist in Kirkuk.
More precisely, you will be in charge of :
- The management of pharmacy & medical stock
You will coordinate the field pharmacies operations quality in collaboration with the pharmacist assistant in Erbil and health program coordinators on Field
You will propose and control specific storage for drugs
You will ensure the evaluation of the monthly drugs consumption of the MDM Mission
You will evaluate the drugs needs and requests made by partners
You will prepare the international orders about drugs consumables and medical materials according to the Field needs, in line with MdM standards and budget available, and in close collaboration with medical and logistic coordinators
You will support the medical team in Monitool if needed and in close collaboration with the medical coordinator.
- The technical support and capacity building
You will support the medical and logistics department on pharmacy orders
You will be the MDM referent for the QUAMED assessment
You will validate and support to organize drugs protocols training for MDM staff and/or MoH health workers
You will write a document related to KRI/Iraq Drugs import process
You will develop and conduct pharmacy training on specific topics in order to increase the MdM team member capacities and knowledge
You will perform regular field visits in Dohuk and Kirkouk to control and supervise the pharmacy activities, and report to the related field coordinator for implementation of key recommendations
- The communication & reporting
You will participate to MDM team meetings, medical department meeting, and clusters (if the medical coordinator is not available)
You will meet pharmacists of other NGOs in order to share practices or list of drugs suppliers
You will contribute to donor reporting by providing relevant data related to your position

915 euros / month + perdiem
The position is based in Erbil with field visits to Dohuk, Kirkuk and Ninewa dis-tricts.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
Pharmacist diploma
At least 1 year of significant international experience on similar positions in humanitarian sector
Working Experience in emergency response
Working experience with SAGA stock
Experience in hard negotiations with local authorities
Working Experience in Middle East is an asset
Excellent organizational, training and coaching skills is required
Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
Reactive and flexible
Ability to communicate with colleagues and managers
Good team spirit
Languages: English is mandatory (oral and written), Arabic would be a plus.
