Brief Description
Makes a significant contribution to all activities of the organizational unit or interdisciplinary area and plays a significant role within his/her profession or discipline. Academics at this level may be appointed in recognition of distinction in the disciplinary area.

Detailed Description
Supervise students' laboratory and clinical work.
Evaluate and grade students' class work, laboratory and clinic work, assignments, and papers.
Keep abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction.
Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate or graduate students on topics such as, adult nursing, mental health nursing, and community health care practices.

Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and hand-outs.
Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
Supervise undergraduate or graduate teaching, internship, and research work.
Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
Advise students on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues.
The conduct and supervision of tutorials, practical/clinical sessions, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions.
The preparation and delivery of lectures and seminars.
Significant contribution to the profession, community.
Consultation with students.
Attendance at departmental and faculty meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Head of Program

Job Requirements
PhD in Nursing is required.
Specialty in Community and Mental Health is a must. Equivalency is required from the UAE Ministry of Higher Education after joining FCHS.
MOH evaluation or HAAD registration (Currency of Practice) as a Nurse is required OR Registration in Home Country Professional Registering Body is a must (for International Applicants) Two to Five years of teaching experience is required ; and
More than (10) years of total professional experience (Clinical and teaching) for Senior Nursing Positions
Experience in clinical simulation labs is an advantage,
Demonstrated success working within a high performing educational institution.

Learning Strategies — selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
Demonstrate abilities in the area of clinical teaching of the various disciplines of Nursing.
Knowledge of alternative teaching methods.
Knowledge and experience in the area of student supervision, testing and assessment marking and course administration.
Ability to incorporate evidence base into clinical practice.
