Description of task
Under the direct supervision of CMO/Head Nurse (please complete with the function of the supervisor), the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
Answer all Emergency needs in the Clinic.
Assist Medical Officer to take care of patients.
ensure a good connection between Doctors and Patients.
Assist all Clients attending the Clinic.
Registering all clients in the Earth med database.
Be able to perform emergency Exams (Rapid Malaria Test, EKG, Urine rapid Test) and any other when requested.
Evaluate patients’ needs while visiting the Clinic or receiving calls from patients.
Deliver appropriate care according to doctor’s prescription by insisting for example to Preventive measures against different pathology (Malaria, Covid etc).
Prepare patients to different intervention and be ready to escort them to other Clinics available in the country accordingly.
Provide general nursing care at any time with observing professional requirements.
Make sure readiness of Emergency Room, Consultation room, Dressing Room.
Make sure all equipment in Emergency Room; Ward; Dressing Room are well functioned (Defibrillator; Vital Sign Monitor; EKG machine; Glucometer etc).
Ensure patient are secure when receiving treatment.
Keep good communication with patient; inform doctor about any remarks noted from patient; ensure confidentiality exchange when taking care of patient.
Provide equitable treatment to all patient attending the clinic.
Provide advice to all staffs traveling regarding their Vaccination status and encourage them to be medically cleared.
Participate in all training and programme planned in your section.
Keep confidentially all medical files.
Be ready to replace any colleague who is unavailable.
Keep all medical statistics in a secured place.
Regularly check medicine expiration date and update request to the pharmacist.
Be ready to support Pharmacy department when necessary.
ACLS/ ITLS will be very helpfully in your daily activities.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required degree level
Bachelor degree or equivalent.
Educational additional comments
Registered Nurse who is graduate with either an accredited Baccalaureate Nursing Programme and/or accredited Nursing Diploma Programme.
Certificates in ECG and CPR or Basic life support, PHTLS/ACLS are an asset plus technical interview.
