The general objective of the position;
Ensure the development of the health and nutrition sector within the DRC mission by developing a strong analysis of the context and underlying causes of malnutrition, conducting field surveys and developing relevant project proposals to address needs.
Participate in the definition, planning and monitoring of Health/Nutrition activities and programs in accordance with INTERSOS protocols, as well as in the coordination of human and material resources necessary to ensure the quality of care provided by INTERSOS.
Assume responsibility for coordinating Health/Nutrition activities in the mission.

Main responsibilities and tasks:
Responsible for defining, implementing and updating the medical/nutrition content of the country's medical strategy, translating the identified health needs into a strategic medical/nut vision and project objectives, priorities and resources needed to cover the medical and humanitarian needs of the population at risk.
He/She is responsible for the adequacy and quality of medical interventions carried out by INTERSOS projects and must identify and work to remove barriers to better patient safety, effective medical care and more patient-centred activities.
Continuously monitor medical/nutritional and humanitarian needs in the mission country, in new areas of intervention or in areas where INTERSOS is already present, through exploratory missions, monitor and review project proposals, determine the resources needed to define health and nutrition priorities and potential new programmes to cover the medical and humanitarian needs of the population in risk.
Takes the lead in the development of medical/nut project proposals
Coordinate with the medical unit the validation of project proposals that he/she designs for submission to international donors and private foundations.
In close collaboration with the HR coordinator, participate in the planning, definition and sizing of the mission's health personnel and supervise the associated processes (recruitment, validation of medical staff, training/induction, evaluation, detection of potentials, development and internal/external communication). Directly supervise and support medical teams in the implementation of medical activities by ensuring that internal protocols are respected, as well as those of the local ministry and health department.
Responsable de la préparation de toutes les commandes médicales en collaboration avec le département logistique et la soumission de toutes les demandes d'achats médicaux. Être responsable de la bonne gestion de la pharmacie de la mission, y compris des projets.
Représenter INTERSOS auprès des autorités médicales locales et garantir une constante présence et une participation active aux forums de coordination en matière de santé et de nutrition (réunions des clusters, autres réunions de coordination technique) et maintenir un contact régulier avec les autres homologues de la mission (ONG, organisations locales, donateurs, autorités) afin d'élargir l'analyse de la situation médico-humanitaire, de renforcer l'impact de l'intervention médicale et de soutenir les actions de plaidoyer.

Profil requis
Education

Maîtrise en médecine ou dans un autre domaine paramédical.
Spécialisation souhaitable en médecine tropicale ou diplôme en santé publique

Expérience Professionnelle
Minimum 2 ans d'expérience professionnelle pertinente en tant que Référent(e) Médical dans le secteur humanitaire, en particulier dans des environnements fragiles et instables.
