Paediatric Nurse needed for British Military Hospital Afghanistan

Job role
To join existing teams of civilian healthcare professionals working alongside military medical personnel at the British Military Field Hospital, Camp Bastion, Afghanistan.

Responsible for providing a high level of nursing care to local national paediatric patients within an acute setting. Responsible for providing advice, guidance and support to the multidisciplinary team for all Paediatric admissions, including A&E, ITU, Pharmacy and on the wards. Duties may include diagnosis, stabilisation, treatment and transfer.

Experience/qualifications

Dual Registered Nurse (Adult & Child).
Paediatric Immediate Life Support PILS and/or EPLS.
Basic Life Support Adult and Child.
Mentorship Qualification (preferred).
Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) (preferred).
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) (preferred).
Manual Handling.
IV drug administration.
Venepuncture/Cannulation (preferred).
Applicants must be physically fit, with an outgoing attitude and a willingness to fit in as part of the team.
