Job Description
The Town of Bennington Rescue Squad, Inc is seeking an experienced, team-oriented paramedic for a full time opening supplying ambulance coverage for shifts starting by the beginning of August 2009.
The successful candidate will possess strong clinical skills and judgment, as well as customer service skills with all types of patient groups, other pre-hospital providers as well as other hospital and other allied healthcare providers. Professional conduct and willingness to embrace organizational change a must for the position. The position also encompasses ancillary station duties, as well the health and safety function for Bennington Rescue. The successful candidate will be able to supply consistent, quality patient care on 911 ambulance calls and emergency and non-emergency transfers. The candidate will need to be able to work with varying provider levels, First Responder through Paramedic, and be able to perform professionally in a dynamic pre-hospital environment. Job Requirements:
Candidate must possess or be eligible for current Vermont EMT- Paramedic.
Candidate will have minimum of 2 years of EMS Crew Leadership experience.
Candidate will have a clean driving record, and must possess EVOC or similar driving certification.
Candidate must pass criminal background check and DOT physical upon conditional offer of employment.
Response time to the Station of 10 minutes or less is preferred, but not required.
Salary Information
Salary: $16-18 per hour
