PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS:
A. Participates in the planning and presentation of unit in-services and patient care conferences.
B. Evaluates patient care supplies/equipment and gives input to the charge nurse/supervisor.
C. Serves as direct clinical resource in the development, review and revision of nursing policies and procedures, standards of care and applicable medical organization policies.
D. Represents unit on committees, special interest groups and task forces.
E. Creates opportunities to share knowledge and expertise in an informal and ongoing manner.
F. Assumes charge nurse duties, if oriented, when need arises.
G. Participates in the development of patient and family education teaching tools.
Minimum Requirements
A- EDUCATION - DEGREES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIRED; B- PREREQUISITE WORK EXPERIENCE IN ADDITION TO EDUCATION; C- OTHER. A. EDUCATION: Completion of a formal program of professional nursing education recognized by Saudi Aramco Nursing Services Department and current licensure as a professional registered nurse. Bachelor's degree preferred. B. WORK EXPERIENCE: Five years clinical nursing experience post registration, to include two years in a specific clinical area, e.g., medical, surgical, obstetric, pediatric nursing. One of these years can be in SAMSO. C. OTHER: Fluent spoken and written English. Spoken Arabic desirable. Meets the additional requirements for Critical Care, Labor and Delivery, and Emergency Nursing as defined in the addendum when hired for these special units.
