Remote Onsite Medic (ROM)

Location: International Assignment

Job Duties: Provide medical support or "out of hospital care" in semi-permissive environment. The ROM will work under the supervision of a physician assistant, physician or nurse practitioner. Work with team members in the performance of a wide variety of missions that may include, but are not limited to, personal security details, and support for civilian contractor operations. The ROM will perform as an integral team member and take part in all duties assigned by the team leader. After appropriate level of training, provide emergent and non-emergent medical support such as treatment of minor acute illnesses in field conditions to include but not limited to fluid resuscitation, hemorrhage control with hemostatic agents, airway support, and primary acute clinical care. Medical support will be provided to the prime contractors' security force which will be over 90% static guards within military compounds.

Other Duties:

Ø Track and maintain individual supply requirements, assist in training activities of fellow medics and team members.
Ø Provide medical support with a force multiplication/preventive medicine mind-set
Ø Develop medical response plans for the prime contractors' compound and integrate into the local response plan
Qualifications:
Ø Current civilian certification as an EMT-P
Ø At least 1 year experience in a high threat deployed environment desired.
Ø Operational or tactical medicine training with certificate of completion highly desired to include:
· US Military Operational Medics
· Other Government Agency medical experience i.e.; FBI, CIA, DEA
· Other tactical/ operational medical training such as OEMS or T1G
Ø Holds or would be willing to obtain a Sponsor Industrial Security Approval SECRET clearance, or equivalent, which includes an in-depth background check, including criminal, financial, and educational checks will be performed
Ø Successfully pass medical, physical fitness and psychological screening
Ø Must have or be able to obtain a US security clearance
Ø Unrestricted driver's license
Ø Excellent communications skills
Ø Fluent in English
Ø Current unrestricted US passport


Working Conditions:
Ø Deployment to semi-permissive areas
Ø Seven 12hr shift minimum per week with periods of longer shifts likely, as required by sponsor
Ø 24/7 availability
Ø Two "sick calls" will be performed daily
Ø Housing - climate controlled sleeping and work areas
Ø Benefits include R&R, travel allowances and insurance
