1. ROLE DESCRIPTION
Supports the medical team in the management and coordination support for International SOS medical services activities, consistent with contractual commitments for the Singapore Parallel Train (SPT) Project for ExxonMobil on Jurong Island in Singapore.
This will include professional and competent management of patients, occupational health and education of contractors on site within the realms of the paramedic scope of skills.
Interface between Intl.SOS Procurement and Medical Alarm Center, Medical Service Providers and Client in support of the delivery of Exxon site medical services.
2. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The paramedic’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
i. Assisting the nurse in providing of care for minor illnesses or injuries including relevant clinical assessment, treatment, and regular follow-up of all cases until complete resolution.
ii. Delivering quality non-emergency and emergency medical/trauma response care, according to written protocols, to all personnel at the work site under SPT Project responsibility.
iii. Travelling to locations where emergency medical services are required in as timely a manner as possible. During an emergency, this travel may also include travel from the site to the nearest approved Provider or hand-over to the medical evacuation team as directed by the Overall Project Management Team (OPMT) Medical Manager.
iv. Ensuring that all emergency medical equipment, including first aid equipment, is in working order and properly maintained.
v. Conducting first aid and CPR training.
vi. Arranging, in coordination with the OPMT Medical Manager, periodic simulated exercises and drills for first responders.
vii. Participating in SPT Project information campaigns on the subjects of personal protective equipment, healthy lifestyle, and personal precautions for the prevention of transmissible diseases.
viii. Carrying out periodic audits of:
- Kitchen and mess areas
- Water supply
- Sanitation and solid waste treatment practices.
ix. Monitoring health and fitness for duty status of all food handlers.
x. Ensuring appropriate disposal of clinical waste in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and site policies.
xi. Assisting in the measurement and monitoring of occupational health risks (e.g. noise monitoring).
xii. Maintaining designated triage and multiple casualty response areas.
Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Primary/Secondary School/"O" Level, Higher secondary/Pre-U/A level/College, Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Nursing or equivalent.
* At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
* Applicants must be willing to work in Jurong Island.
* Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Healthcare - Nurse/Medical Support & Assistant or equivalent.

* Train the Trainer qualified
* Computer literate
* EMT-P western standard minimum
* 2 years post qualification experience
* English speaking
* Registered (if register exists), in country of qualification.
* Able to be registered in Singapore when register is formed.
