Occupational Health Team Leader

Task, Duties and Accountabilities:
The Team Leader OH is responsible for the development, delivery, maintenance, assurance and improvement of the following OH processes. This includes (but is not limited to):
1. Assist the COMPANY HSE Manager in the development and delivery of fit for purpose OH Systems;
2. Developing and maintaining COMPANY OH documentation;
3. Ensuring fit for purpose OH Standards, Plans, Procedures and guidelines are developed and maintained for all phases of the Project;
4. Preparing & coordinating OH Section activity plans and overseeing individual & group performance;
5. Ensuring compliance by all parties with COMPANY’s HSE requirements and regulations and all relevant legislation and statutory requirements, including all laws, rules and regulations (as amended from time to time) of the governments of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the U.A.E.;
6. Review CONTRACTOR OH documentation to ensure it complies with COMPANY requirements, contractual agreements & ADNOC Codes Of Practice;
7. Ensuring OH roles and responsibilities for each project team position, key contractor and vendor positions are established and communicated;
8. Ensuring leading and trailing OH performance measures are developed, compiled, maintained and reported;
9. Providing regular assurance back to the COMPANY HSE Manager on the performance of OH systems of COMPANY & CONTRACTOR;
10. Mentoring, Coaching & Competence Development of Junior OH Staff;
11. Supporting the development of a positive, value-centred culture, focused on HSE excellence;
12. Senior Technical Authority for OH in the COMPANY Organisation;
13. Monitoring drilling & construction activities and ensuring fit for purpose OH systems are implemented and properly maintained;
14. Maintain contact with concerned groups for OH best practices and lessons learned;
15. Participate in incident control duties during major accident emergencies or drills;
16. Supporting the development and implementation of an OH Learning & Development Process;
17. Keeping abreast of industry best practice pertaining to OH;
18. Providing input to the collection of Lessons Learned for the project;
19. Ensuring an OH Audit Process and Plan is developed and implemented;
20. Providing OH input to Annual HSE Management Reviews.

Minimum Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master of Science degree in Occupational Health, or related field from an accredited university with minimum fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the oil/gas industry. Experience on large-scale oil/gas and petrochemical capital projects preferred.
