International SOS has been providing medical services to one of Canada's leading oil and natural gas companies during their development of the oil sands region, northwest of Fort McMurray in Northern Alberta. We have expanded our business to include new projects and need additional paramedics in this region.
The Position
The ideal candidate is an excellent technician, who works well independently and as part of a team. The individual must have the skills to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and business clients. Understanding and experience in corporate and occupational health is a plus. Remote medical experience, including working in climate extremes, is advantageous. Candidates with certification or professional training in digital imagery are highly desirable.
Work will be performed on a rotational basis, with full room and board while on-site.
The Person
Current registration as an EMT-P with the Alberta College of Paramedics
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
Computer proficiency
Proactive and solution focused
Remote and industrial experience, including working in climate extremes, is advantageous
