Medic/Safety Advisor , Canada

While providing our clients with the required level of emergency medical care and medical coverage, our Professional Safety Medics are also committed to the maintenance and continual development of our client's established occupational health and safety programs. While actively participating in and promoting these programs, they will be responsible for various task(s), including but not limited to:

Being the sole point of contact for Emergency and Non-Emergency Medical situations as they arise, consulting with Medical Control as required.
Setting an example and fostering enthusiasm for Health, Safety and Environment issues in accordance with the Client's Safety Management System and helping to establish a proactive approach of enhanced HSE practices.
Assisting with incident investigations, near miss reporting, job hazard analysis and ensuring compliance with corporate health and safety policies and procedures.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be an Alberta Registered EMT-P (Advanced Care Paramedic) or Higher
A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Health and Safety professional in the Oil and Gas industry; with experience on drilling and/or Site Camp/Construction sites preferred.
Valid Safety certifications: H2S alive, TDG, WHMIS and Standard First Aid.
Experience providing Emergency Medical Support and HSE support services on remote sites.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Safety Management Systems (SMS).
As travel is required, a valid Class 5 licence is necessary.
