Australian Red Cross maintains a register
of suitably qualified and experienced
professionals who are called upon to
deploy to international locations in times
of need.
We are currently recruiting Operating
Theatre Nurses who speak French or
Arabic to strengthen our capacity to
respond to the needs of people who have
been made vulnerable by disaster or
conflict. Please note that we are recruiting
to our register of stand-by professionals,
and not to any specific position. In times
of need, we will deploy from our register
to the field.
The ability to work in French or Arabic is
an essential requirement of this profile.

language assessment will take place
during recruitment.

includes both technical and behavioural
components. Successful candidates are
then required to attend the International
Mobilisation Preparation for ACTion
(IMPACT) course. The next course is
scheduled for May 5 - 10, 2014 in Victoria,
at a participant cost of AUD$1000.
