Employer: Remote Medical International
Location: USA
Closed date: 03/27/2016

Job Description

HIRING EVENT:
We will be accepting applications from March 21 - March 27, 2016.

Domestic Project Team (DPT) Culture:

We are seeking candidates that are truly passionate about providing excellent clinical care in proactive, professional, and diplomatic manner. This role is more than a simple set of requirements; it is an opportunity for you share your professional aspirations in an environment which encourages innovative practices, flexibility, and professional growth. If you are simply seeking a paycheck, this position may not be for you. If you are looking for an opportunity to be a trusted part of a flexible team that is consistently seeking self-improvement and professional growth, then take the next step. Apply to join our team today!

The Role:

This is an exciting role within RMI, where you will be part of a newly formed team specifically created to be tasked with projects within the United States. This role is a great opportunity for those of you looking to break into the remote medical field! These projects can provide those with a willingness to learn, a firm foundation of proactive solo clinical care, workplace safety initiatives, and other aspects needed to be successful in a remote environment. You will operate in a solo capacity in a clinic type setting providing emergent and basic care with access to top-tier telemedicine services through our Global Communication Center (GCC). Many of these sites are not considered remote by the Company standards, so should you need to evacuate a patient to definitive care, you would activate the local emergency response system. This is a mitigate and treat on-site position and not a transport role.

Rotations:
This is based on project need, and we are seeking a team of paramedics with a flexible schedule. These domestic projects last on average 5-10 weeks with scheduled breaks between projects. Additional projects often become available with less than two weeks notice. Although we have had consistent back to back projects, this is not a guarantee and scheduling is based on client needs. We are seeking to create a domestic team of paramedics with flexible schedules to provide year-round coverage for our clients.

Locations, Food, Lodging, Travel, and Reciprocity:

Those assigned to this team should have a willingness to work anywhere in the United States. It is vital those on the Domestic Project Team be flexible and willing to travel. We cover the cost of food, travel, lodging, and reciprocity in line with the companies policies. During deployments, the paramedic will often stay in hotels near the worksite and utilize company-owned or rental cars for transportation. Our credentialing team will assist you with the proper reciprocity paperwork, but if you work in multiple states, the process will require you to fill out the forms assigned to you by the credentialing team. Transport to and from the site is coordinated by the teams project coordinator, which will handle all logistical aspects of your assigned mission.

Emergency Essential:
When assigned to a particular site, it is expected that this is your primary obligation. Our client has assigned these positions as mission critical, and an absence of a medical provider could disrupt the critical workflow of the projects.

Compensation:
All of the projects are paid hourly and are eligible for overtime. While deployed, paramedics typically work six (6) days a week on a shift work schedule. The compensation structure is a tiered system, flat-rate, hourly system.

Notes to applicant:

NREMT-Paramedic certification is required for this role. Should we pursue your candidacy for this role, your NREMT certification will be verified prior to an interview being scheduled. Although this is a non-transport role, employees may be required to drive company vehicles which will require an active U.S. drivers license from any state and the ability to successfully complete a background investigation. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, only candidates whose candidacy is being pursued will be contacted.

Minimum Requirements:
Active National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) Paramedic
Two years of full-time experience as a paramedic
BLS, ACLS and PHTLS (or ITLS) certifications
Excellent customer services skills
Active U.S. Driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an urgent care, doctor's office, emergency room, or similar environment
OSHA 44 training or equivalent certifications
Experience driving emergency vehicles
Previous customer service experience
