Note: This position is based in Baghdad, Iraq on a rotational basis.
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is currently seeking OR Nurses for deployment to Iraq. Stationed at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad and other diplomatic outposts, the OR Nurses support Foreign Service and contractor personnel with life-saving and routine care. OR Nurses are based in secure complexes and typically deploy on short rotations.

Responsibilities
Typical duties include, but are not limited to: providing professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgery; promoting and restoring patients’ health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with Physicians and multidisciplinary professional staffs; supervising assigned team members; reinforcing patient understanding of disease, medications, and self-care skills; assuring quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; following hospital and nursing division’s philosophies and standards of care set by State board of nursing, State Nurse Practice Act, and other governing agency regulations; maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; protecting patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations; documenting patient care services by charting in patient and department records; ensuring operation of medical and administrative equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; and, maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques; and maintaining nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Operating Room/Med-Surg Nurse
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Unrestricted U.S. (State) license as a Registered Nurse
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Membership in the Nursing Specialty professional association is desirable
All OR Nurses must have recent clinical experience in patient care for at least six months out of the past year
