1300MEDICS is the occupational and onsite health service delivery arm of Health Care Options. 1300MEDICS is commencing work on a number of projects across Queensland, and we are now recruiting for paramedics for a July start at our site in Rockhampton.
As our site paramedic, your role will involve providing ongoing health assessments of workers; emergency response to site incidents, preventative and health promotional activities and administration aspects of the medical centre.
To be considered for this role you will need:
Qualifications as an Ambulance or Industrial Paramedic at or exceeding the Diploma level;
Experience in working independently and in leading small teams in the clinical environment;
Experience in emergency management of a variety of medical conditions and specialist experience in traumatic injury management, stabilisation and transport skills;
Competency in Advanced Life Support skills including defibrillation, airway management and intravenous cannulation;
While not mandatory, candidates with any of the following would be viewed favourably:
Industrial or Mining Medical experiece;
Double-qualified Registered Nurse / Paramedics, and paramedics at the Intensive Care Paramedic clinical level.
For the right person, we will offer a package including fully furnished accomodation, allowances and an opportunity to work on an interesting and unique project. The Rockhampton project is fly-in fly-out over eight to twelve weeks with some night shifts.
