Responsibilities:
• Provide authoritative and independent advice on all Health and Safety matters
• Participate in Emergency Response roles
• Conduct as required and review accident and incident reports, analyze data and provide feedback on quality of investigation and identify and act upon emerging trends
• Carry out HSE offshore / onshore audits, contractor HSE interface reviews and arrange external audits as required
• Manage and act as Technical Authority for documentation on the safety Management System
• Manage the offshore induction process
• Aid in the coordination of the operational interface with the Health and Safety Executive
• Ensure compliance with legislation and other requirements
• Review new and changed legislation (Operations Notices and Codes of Practice etc.) and provide consistent interpretation in the application of these changes in Company's North Sea business
• Provide operational safety support to OIMs and Operations Teams, liaise with offshore Medics and H&S Advisors to manage and advise
• Prepare and coordinate the annual HSE plan necessary to meet the requirements set out in Company policy, legislative and other requirements
• Attend planning meetings, provide support to projects, advise on areas for improvement
• Operational interface with Health and Safety Executive inspection visits and follow up reports and obligations
• Track HSE performance statistics for reporting as required to statutory agencies and use this data to raise awareness amongst personnel
• Prepare for presentation quarterly HSE Performance statistics to the President and shareholders of the Company
• Develop and manage Behavioural Safety Systems and Advanced Safety Audit data input
• Promote safety improvement through regular offshore visits and campaigns
• Develop and facilitate delivery of Safety Leadership Campaigns and safety improvement programmes
• Coordinate delivery of Occupational Health for the Company
• Onshore focal point for offshore Medic and Safety Advisors
Requirements:
• NEBOSH Diploma is highly advantageous
• Experience in an offshore environment and up to date offshore safety training certification
• Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
• Qualified and experienced as a Lead Auditor
• Knowledge and understanding of an offshore operator
