Job Description:

•  Monitor and correct unsafe work practices involving all personnel onboard.

•  Monitor compliance of HSE orientation and induction for all personnel.

•  Promotes 100% compliance, 100% of the time by all personnel onboard with Company HSE

Management System.

•  The Medic will adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.

•  Conduct ongoing surveillance of the offshore workforce and initiating appropriate responses on a strict not-to interfere with operational activities without involving appropriate senior rig management first.

•  The Medic will maintain rig hospital and work area medical stations to a continual high state of operational readiness to meet all minor and major medical response requirements. The Medical Officer will be fully familiar in the use and location of all medical equipment provided.

•  The Medic will review all medical advisories for the location of operations and provide additional

medical communications.

•  The Medic will be responsible for preparing a medical emergency response plan to include

defined injury response teams, defined triage locations, communication systems to shore base,

shore base medical support services, and medical provisions. Consideration for injury response

team job responsibilities and regular auditing of the emergency response plan. Additionally, the

Medic will prepare emergency medical drill scenarios and conduct periodic drills to fully test the systems of casualty handling, patient stabilization, and all rig evacuation services and procedures.

Coordinate all drills with the Captain.

•  Advises on achieving safety standards and requirements in accordance with regulations.

•  Conduct training on the HSE Management System.

•  Update and maintain HSE and Training bulletin board(s).

•  Assist to exercise effective control and efficient operation of the rig, under the direction of the Barge Engineer and Rig Superintendent with due regard for the safety of the crew, the rig and its contents and the protection of the environment.

•  Control and co-ordinate the Permit to Work System.

•  Liaise with Rig Superintendent with regard to HSE matters on board the rig.

•  Communicate all HSE & Training matters of significance to the Supervisors, Rig Superintendent,HSE and HR Department.

•  Carry out regular inspections of all work sites and report deficiencies to relevant supervisors.

•  Co-ordinate and assist to conduct housekeeping and safety audit inspections.

- Minimum 3 years as Paramedic/Doctor and Safety Officer on Jack-Up

- Valid Paramedic/Doctor Certificate (International recognition)

Medic / safety officer - International

Function


Provide emergency trauma care, administer pre hospital trauma life support, basic- and advanced life support techniques and primary health care including basic general practitioner tasks for 60 to 120 pob. An autonomous role, involving the planning and execution of all aspects of offshore medical care, occupational health service and safety issues. Liaise with onshore physician for medical advise and medivac. Maintain all relevant medical documentation on all onboard personnel Induct new personnel to vessel, rig or platform safety and emergency instructions Maintain all emergency medical equipment position around the vessel or rig Administrative duties including mailbag handling, typing or reports, updating databases, recording of minutes of meetings, vendor and crew timesheets, rota deviations, helicopter movement planning and crew changes. Maintain material and safety datasheets and disseminate information to onboard personnel. Initiate, inspect, prepare and disseminate findings of weekly hygiene report. Basic computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook and various special computer programs. Carrying out drinking water sampling in accordance with company rules Contribution to monthly safety meeting on health issues and onboard instructions and education in general hygiene, medical care and instructions to preventive medical problems and advise for a healthy work and living circumstances.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;


 Assessing patients,
 Providing appropriate medical intervention,
 The monitoring and reporting of leading indicators,
 Establishing a proactive approach of enhanced HSE practices
 Completion of HSE Duties as required, such as reporting, safety inspections etc.


QUALIFICATIONS

 Professional Paramedic/Medic/Doctor/Nurse
 Experience in providing emergency medical/trauma care required
 Offshore experience in the Oil & Gas Industry required
 Safety training and experience required
 Experience aboard a Seismic vessel preferred
 Current ACLS Certification preferred
 Must have a good level of physical fitness and health
 Computer literate; Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, E-mail, PowerPoint
 Valid offshore medical, safety, and survival certificates
 Demonstrated ability to work independently
 Proven fluency in spoken and written English required

Medical Platoon Senior Trainer- Afghanistan

NEK is seeking highly qualified trainers to support an extensive training requirement in Afghanistan with prior MOS qualified Medic or Medical Services or Doctor. Qualified candidate will preferably have prior Special Forces experience, Ranger Battalion, or Infantry experience. This will be a one year tour with R&R breaks as is the norm. This will be an independent contractor position with a compensation package which will be in line with current market rates and include mandated coverage as well as additional optional insurances if required.
