Offshore Paramedic


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or general education

degree (GED); or one to three months related

experience and/or training; or equivalent

combination of education and experience.

A minimum of 2 years direct advanced life

support experience working for an advanced life

support EMS service, hospital, or US military.

Experience in general heavy industry safety

programs, implementation, and assessment.

Experience with computers, Word, Excel,

Windows, e-mail .

Certifications as stated below.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

Maintain National Registry of EMTs - Paramedic

level certification , state of residence Paramedic

level certification, current certification in

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), current

certification in Advanced cardiac Life Support

(ACLS) & Pre-Hospital Life Support (PHTLS) also

acceptable.

OSHA Safety, Defensive Driving, Fall

Protection, Fire Watch, HAZWOPER, HLO (Helicopter

Landing Officer), Confined Space Rescue/High

Angle Rescue, and Certified Rigger/Competent

Rigger, HUET (Helicopter, Underwater Egress

Training), Safe Gulf

USCG/MMS Rules & Regulations

TWIC card (Transportation Worker

Identification Credential)

Paramedics Onshore/Offshore , Western Australia


Required work experience and qualifications:

*Extensive relevant experience as an acute care paramedic and/or registered nurse

*Remote onshore and/or offshore experience

*Strong emergency and advanced life support

skills - ACLS

*BOSIET/HUET qualifications necessary for

offshore deployment

*Strong clinical skills and experience in

rehabilitating injured workers

*OH& S experience and qualifications

*ITLS certification will be highly regarded

Paramedic


.Collaborate with the AirLink/VitaLink Staff  Nurse and other appropriate medical personnel to establish and prioritize a plan of care.

.Continuously review and revise the care plan

as needed based on the patient’s condition.

.Maintain thorough patient care documentation.

.Operate and maintain the vehicle in a safe, efficient manner, obeying all traffic laws.

.Inspect the medical supplies/equipment

.Maintain the ambulance in a continuous state of readiness.

Requirements:

Minimum of three years experience with a paid EMS provider at the paramedic level

Current EMT-P certification for North Carolina eligibility. BLS/CPR , ACLS, and PALS certification. ITLS and NRP required within 6 months of hire. Current and valid Class C operator’s license for North Carolina eligibility. EVO is required to drive during emergency situations. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Successful completion of an accepted EMT-Paramedic program.
